The Transitions Summer Immersion Experience helps you explore your next step - whether it’s college, work or greater independence - with hands-on experiences , professional coaching and new friendships.

College Track
Explore and Prepare for College Success
Designed for individuals who are considering or currently attending college and want to build readiness, confidence and support strategy.
You’ll experience:
- Guided campus tours and exposure to real college environments
- Support services exploration and student panels
- Executive functioning, communication and selfadvocacy training
- A college course through a SUNY partner and earn a college credit
- Skill building routines for daily structure and academic success
- Personalized feed back on strengths and support needs
Career Track
Build Skills for Employment and Independence
Designed for individuals preparing to enter the workforce and seeking to develop the skills needed for employment and adult life.
You’ll experience:
- Internship placement with coaching and structured feedback
- Resume building and career exploration activities
- Workplace readiness: communication, time management, professionalism
- Job site tours and employer meet-and-greets
- A career-focused college course through a SUNY partner that will earn a college credit.
- Life skills training, including personal safety and self-management.
Residential Life
Participants stay in staff-supported residential settings designed to promote independence while offering a safe and structured environment.
Each day includes routines around cooking cleaning, managing schedules and shared social activities with peers.

Group placement
Participants are placed in age-appropriate and developmentally similar groups to ensure comfort, safety and connection.
