Imagine Academy of the Arts
Imagine Academy for the Arts is an inventive, arts-focused program for young adults ages 18 and older who have autism and other learning differences. This program, a collaboration between Transitions and the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, is designed for those with artistic talent to both grow in their art and develop self-expression and confidence while learning important independent living skills.
The Imagine Academy of the Arts offers group and individual lessons in music, art, theater, photography, yoga, cooking, sculpture and more, all taught by renowned and experienced artists. Students will be able to focus on their preferred talent while also being exposed to many different art forms. Students will also be taught Transitions’ core curriculum which will provide them the opportunity to earn a certificate in Life Studies from SUNY Fulton-Montgomery, if they so choose.
